Cherry Hill's Concerts on the Hill

Cherry Hill offers Concerts on the Hill every Friday and Saturday night through Aug. 25.

The free concerts are from 9 to 10 p.m. at Grant's Gulch in Cherry Hill (1325 S Main Street in Fruit Heights).

Bountiful Summerfest International, Aug. 8-11

BOUNTIFUL, Utah - Bountiful Summerfest International kicks off its annual celebration on Wednesday.

The weeklong celebration features performances, events, music, dance, games and visual arts from all over the world.

The event takes place at the Bountiful City Park (200 West 400 North).

  • August 8, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • August 9, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • August 10-11, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Bountiful City invites residents to its Main Street Sidewalk Sale, August 9-11.

Main Street stores will transform the sidewalks into an outdoor mall with special sales out front.

The sale runs from August 9 through August 11.

Farmington City presents Hello, Dolly!

Farmington City invites residents to Hello, Dolly!

The show runs through Aug. 6 (no Sunday show) at the Woodland ParK Amphitheater (300 South and 200 East in Farmington) at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 on the day of the show. To purchase tickets, go to the Parks and Rec. office at 720 West 100 North or purchase them online.

Davis County residents, mark your calendars for the Davis County Fair, Aug. 15-18 in Farmington. Organizers say your trip will be a visit to 'FAIRadise!'

Come and join us in FAIRadise! Davis County Fair, August 15-18, 2012, 11am – 10pm, Legacy Events Center, 151 South 1100 West, Farmington. Highlights of the Davis FAIRadise include:

August 16, 7:30pm: Yes Utah presents country music artist Katie Armiger in concert, with opener Maddie Wilson, held in the South Outdoor Arena, tickets $8.50/ per person.

Live Stingray Exhibit: all-day; get up close and personal with the hands-on exhibit featuring six to eight stingrays!

August 18, 6:00pm: free concert on the Davis Clipper Main Stage featuring “Endless Summer,” a Beach Boys cover band. Dust off your hula skirts, and get ready for some fun in the sun!

NSL Night Out Against Crime, Aug. 14

North Salt Lake invites residents to its Night Out Against Crime.

The nationwide event is designed to build community spirit and the relationships between police officers and the community.

The event is free and open to the public. Activities include a hot dog dinner, bike rodeo, child fingerprinting and more. There will also be information on neighborhood watch, code enforcement and crossing guards at schools.

Centerville history walking tour, Saturday

The Centerville City Landmarks Commission invites residents to a free summer historic walking tour.

The tour starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the south parking lot at the white church on 200 East and 200 South.

As part of the tour, the Daughters of the Utah PIoneers Museum will also be open.
